Options

There are 5 Nautilus BVC coil options available allowing you to personalise your vaping experience to enjoy either mouth to lung or sub-ohm vaping. They feature a BVC (Bottom Vertical Coil) design which enhances flavour and increases cloud production.

• 0.4 Ohm should be used at 23-28W and work best with 50/50 blends or high VG e-liquids.

• 0.7 Ohm

• 0.7 Ohm (Mesh)

• 1.6 Ohm

• 1.8 Ohm should be used at 9-13W and work best with nicotine salts

What Coil Should I Choose?

  • The higher resistance coils tend to be the most popular choice but it depends on what you are looking to achieve from your vaping experience.

  • Lower resistance Coils provide a more intense throat hit with increased vapour clouds. They use up more e-liquid and drain your battery power faster.

  • Higher resistance coils deliver a smoother throat hit with more discreet vapour clouds. They use less e-liquid and less battery power.

Important Advice

Coils with a resistance less than 1 Ohm are classified as sub-ohm coils and therefore it is recommended that these should only be used by experienced vapers. These coils need a lot more power and generate larger vapour clouds so it is best to use e-liquids with a high VG content. It is also recommended vapers use a maximum nicotine strength of 6mg due to the larger amounts of vapour produced.

Which Coil Resistance Should I Choose?

1. Higher Resistance Coils

  • These are usually recommended for beginners
  • They give a smoother throat hit
  • They require less power
  • They use less e-liquid
  • They create less vapour
  • If your coil is over 1 Ohm, you should use high PG e-liquids or 50/50 blends

2. Lower Resistance Coils

  • These are best used for sub-ohm vaping
  • They give a stronger throat hit
  • They require more power
  • They use more e-liquid
  • They create bigger vapour clouds

If your coil is less than 1 Ohm you can use high VG e-liquids

Coils with a resistance less than 1 Ohm are classified as sub-ohm coils and therefore it is recommended that these should only be used by experienced vapers. These coils need a lot more power and generate larger vapour clouds so it is best to use e-liquids with a high VG content. It is also recommended vapers use a maximum nicotine strength of 6mg due to the larger amounts of vapour produced.

How Do I Know When To Change My Coil?

This can vary from one device to another depending on the resistance of your coil, heat levels, e-liquids and amount of time it is used. However, on average coils should last 1-3 weeks but this help sheet should give you an idea of some signs that may suggest now is the time to change your coil!
